Athlone Cricket Club Pavilion

Introduction

Athlone Cricket Club has been in existence for just over thirty years and has played in the grounds of the Enraght-Moonys, Doon, for thirty years. The Club has built up a membership base of around thirty senior players and a boys/girls team as well.

The Club has a proud tradition having produced a player, Hugh Milling, who played for Ireland at international level on many occasions. On the playing field, the Club has won the Midland League Cup once and also the Connaught League Cup twice. Our Club caters for a large number of nationalities in addition to our Irish members.

Whilst we are proud of our achievements, at Athlone cricket club the emphasis is very much on the fun aspect of the sport. We encourage players of all abilities to come and try their hand at the game, from beginners to professional hopefuls (obviously).  See the contact us page for more details on how to join in.

As well as the sporting aspects, we also enjoy the odd social gathering for you and your family. During the winter months there is the annual dinner and drinks evening and on the finer days during the summer months we enjoy the odd BBQ.

Playing cricket with Athlone is a great way to make new friends, have fun, keep fit, learn, socialise and play cricket.

The website is designed to provide its visitors with an overview of the clubs latest news and activities, but also provide a comprehensive profile of recently played matches.  We also record each players match statistics, allowing players to follow their progress throughout each season.

Enjoy your visit to the site, and we hope to see you at an Athlone Cricket Club match soon!!!
